BREAKING: UI to Close Undergraduate Halls on February 16

The University of Ibadan has announced that all undergraduate Halls of Residence for the 2024/2025 academic session will close by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, following the end of the academic session at the Senate meeting scheduled for that day, after which fumigation will begin on February 17, 2026.

The release stated that only students on approved continuing programmes may stay temporarily in Kenneth Mellanby and Queen Elizabeth II Halls upon payment of ₦300 per day for 16 days from February 17 to March 4, 2026, while postgraduate wardens are to make alternative arrangements for residents whose programmes extend beyond the session.

As such, all students are expected to vacate the halls of residence with their belongings on or before the deadline.
