BDS qualified for the SEALS Cup ’26 final 3-0 on penalties after a goalless draw in normal time.
The rain that fell in the hours leading up to the tie threatened to put a hold on proceedings. In the end, the first semi-final, between Philosophy and Computing, was postponed, but the highly anticipated Medicos Clasico started at 5:28 PM.
MBBS fielded an unchanged lineup for the third game in a row. BDS dominated early proceedings but could not make it count, and were caught offside at least three times in the first half alone. MBBS gradually eased into the game and won free kicks that came very close to going in — one in particular from Habeeb hitting the bar. Habeeb dazzled time and again on the wing, but both teams refused to yield, and the end product was lacking, with lots of misplaced passes and first-touch letdowns. In what was possibly the most glaring miss of the day, Fuhad arrived a fraction too late to tap in from a Prestige cross before the half-time whistle went.
After the short break, both teams had settled into something of a rhythm and the overall play was sharper than in the first half but the deadlock remained unbroken. Yusuf had to be helped off following a bad coming together with Malik and was replaced by Jide. There were fouls on both sides, but the resulting free kicks refused to find the net. Habeeb had another shot hit the post before the full-time whistle went. Both teams had looked like scoring throughout, but neither eventually hit the net, and the 0-0 sent the tie directly to be resolved from twelve yards.
BDS took the first penalty and scored all three of their attempts. MBBS, usually reliable from the spot, missed all three — one hitting the crossbar, another hitting the post and the last, sailing over.

And so the fairy tale continues. BDS, the debutantes, are in the final, with the chance to claim SEALS glory against either Philosophy or Computing.
