Senator Oludele Resumes Office as UIMSA Sports Secretary after a Three-Week Suspension

On Sunday, August 16, the University of Ibadan Medical Students Association (UIMSA) Senate announced the resumption of Senator John Oludele, the Association’s sports secretary, to office.
The senator, who was suspended on Saturday, July 25, effective the following day, has completed his stipulated three-week suspension for “Absence from three meetings of the senate of which he is duly notified without the permission of the senate chair” as stated in Article XII, section 5(a)(ii) of the UIMSA constitution.
According to the notice released by the Senate, Senator Oludele has resumed office and his official responsibilities as the sports secretary of the association. At the same time, he is expected to diligently discharge his duties and comply fully with the provisions of the constitution.
“The Senate leadership remains committed to upholding the constitution and ensuring accountability among all members of the Senate and Executive Council,” the notice reads.
