UCH Disconnected From National Grid Once Again

On the 30th of December, 2025, the University College Hospital, Ibadan, was once more disconnected from the national electricity grid in a development confirmed by the Alexander Brown Hall Executive Council.

The latest disconnection comes nine months after the expiration of UCH’s 103-day blackout on the 12th of February this year, amidst stalled operations at the University College Hospital owing to strike actions by the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) and the Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU).

In the statement signed by Olaoluwa Olabisi, Hall Chairman of Alexander Brown Hall, Brownites were advised to “remain vigilant and look out for one another” in this period.
