Brands Win 950k Grants as Cloudde Holds Tech Conference on “Creating Value” in UI
Cloudde, a tech ecosystem for digital learning and social networking, held the second edition of her Cloudde Tech Conference (CTC 2.0) on Saturday 20th July, 2024, at the CBN Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Economics, University of Ibadan.
The event, attended by members of the Cloudde community (known as “the Billionaire Club”) and non-members alike, witnessed a nexus of a wide range of interests from tech, design, and branding to real estate, entrepreneurship, and corporate enterprise. It kicked off a few minutes past 11 am with an opening prayer, icebreaker games, and discussions, followed by a welcome address, an introduction to Cloudde, and then a series of speaking sessions with interspersed giveaways and networking sessions.
The first session on ‘The Role of Branding in Creating Long-Term Value Businesses and Society‘ was taken by Management Consultant, Favour Ogazi. Here, she highlighted the importance of knowing one’s audience, consistency, authenticity, and adaptability in standing out in a saturated enterprise space. The second session on the topic “Real Estate and the Economy: How to Create Value in a Changing Market” was anchored by Esosa Atemgweye, Sales Manager at Land Republic, and shed light on the prospects of real estate investment in building assets and lasting wealth.
The third session on ‘Self-value and Monetization‘, was anchored by the Founder of Cloudde, Ifeoluwa Success Erinle. It centered on value creation, with Mr Erinle offering insights about building personal capital, networking strategically, thinking entrepreneurially, and thriving in a competitive space.
There was a panel session with brand and Product Design Manager, Bolutife Awakan, Digital Marketer, Victoria Ajiboye, and Witty Prince, founder of Konoha, as the moderator. Panelists fielded questions relating to Web 3, digital marketing, and brand design.
The event also included the presentation of certificates to graduates of the Cloudde Academy and the announcement (and awarding) of the winners of the StyloGrant ’24. The winner and first four runner-up brands (The Billionaire Baby, Nectar Chills by Annie, Olive Oils, Beekay Hairssentials, and Ageless Bags) received business grants of 400,000, 250,000, 150,000, 100,000, and 50,000 Naira respectively.
Commenting on her experience, the winning brand owner Temiloluwa Folahanmi, apparently overwhelmed with emotion, remarked, “I want to thank God. Though the process was tiring and stressful, it was beautiful in the sense that God gave me ideas and the strength to bring those ideas to life. I remember when we were asked to create a video. It was my very first video, as I’m not into content creation. But then we did it and [it came out well]. I’m grateful to my friends; they really made it possible—my parents, everyone was there to support me.”
Interacting with our correspondent on his perception of the event, founder Cräcky Bröwn said, “Though we had some issues while starting due to power supply, I’m very sure if we were to ask every [member of the] audience, it has been up to par, and we’d love to do something like that next time.” On plans for next year’s event, he noted, “It will be in Lagos, it will be bigger, and the (Billionaire Club) clan itself would have grown so there will be more opportunities.”
