2025 NiMSA Southwest Regional Convention Cancelled Due to Court Restrictions

The 2025 NiMSA Southwest Regional Convention, scheduled to hold from September 25, has been officially cancelled. According to a press release by the Southwest Regional leadership, the decision followed a court order placed on the association’s account, which made it impossible to access funds raised for the program.

Organisers expressed disappointment, noting that despite 24 hours of efforts to resolve the issue with banks and stakeholders, no compromise was reached. They assured delegates that all funds remain secure and pledged to either reschedule the convention or restructure the program once clearance is obtained.

The committee further acknowledged the financial losses already incurred on logistics and accommodation, describing them as “painful but unavoidable sunk costs.” They, however, called for patience and solidarity, vowing that the setback would not diminish the resilience and unity of the Southwest region.
