Earlier today, the group stage fixtures for the male football category of the 27th NUGA Games ongoing at the University of Jos were released.
The opening fixture between DELSU and KASU will commence at 8 am on Sunday, 9th November, 2025. At the same time, the UI male football team, the UI Pioneers, will face LASU in their opening match of the competition. They will later go on to face UNICAL in the second group stage match the following day at 8 am. Recall that UNICAL defeated the UI Pioneers by 3 goals to nil at the Moniepoint 5-a-side tournament last month.
The final game of the group stage will be against Usman Danfodio University at 12 noon on 11th November, 2025. Should the UI Pioneers go through the group stage, they will be in contention for the trophy in the knockout stages of the competition.
