The SEALS Cup ‘26, tagged the “World Cup Edition” is set to get underway on April 17, 2026. The announcement was broadcast via a flier, circulated on UI sports groups, including the tournament’s official Seals Cup ‘26 group.
The defending champions, MBBS, are set to begin their second successive title defence with the opening fixture as is customary for the champions. Recall that in last year’s edition, the opener was a cracking repeat of the 2024 Seals Cup Final, contested by the defending champions and silver-medalists IPE, which ended in a thrilling 2-all draw.
No doubt much of the same will be expected for this year’s opener. It remains to be seen who the opponents for this edition’s opener will be. More details about the opening fixtures and the tournament team groupings are expected to follow soon.
