The University of Ibadan has been confirmed to host the eighth edition of the Federation of African University Sports Afro-Varsity 3×3 Basketball Challenge between the 28th of May and the 1st of June, 2026.

This was revealed in a February 27th article on the official Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) website. This edition is open to registered university students between the ages of 17 to 25. The teams are also required to have verified Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) 3×3 accounts for official ranking points. Accreditation opens on the 15th of March, 2026, and teams are expected to confirm participation on or before the 15th of May, 2026.
