TLDS’ UI Elects New Executives

The Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan (TLDS’ UI) has elected a new set of executives to steer the affairs of the organization for the next administrative year. The election, which took place at the SRC Chamber of the University of Ibadan Student Union Building, commenced at 6 PM with a total of 21 voters participating in the process.
Emerging as the new president is Babatimehin Peace from the Bello Hall constituency, who secured 20 votes, with one void vote recorded. Other elected executives include:
- Olatunji Oladoyin Esther: Vice President (21 votes)
- Goodness Akinloye: Public Relations Officer (17 votes)
- Mayowa Adekola Peculiar: General Secretary (15 votes)
- Michael Filade: Treasurer (21 votes)
Addressing the press after his victory, Babatimehin Peace, who previously served as the General Secretary of TLDS’ UI, expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank God for facilitating my election as President. I look forward to serving the society and working with my fellow executives to achieve our goals.”
With the election concluded, expectations are high as the newly elected leaders prepare to take on their respective roles and drive the society forward.
