New UIMSA Executives Inaugurated, Vacant Posts Filled by Co-option

The University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association (UIMSA) on Saturday, the 9th of August 2025, inaugurated and ratified its newly elected executives at a Senate meeting held at the Femowo Common Room (FCR).

While most positions were filled through the recent elections, the offices of Vice President, Financial Secretary, Public Relations Officer (PRO), and Special Duties Officer (Clinicals) which had no contestants were occupied via co-option.

The new executives are:
Folusho Olu-Adegbola (President), Collins Ijezie (Vice President), Babatunde Dauda (General Secretary), Jeffrey Ajoritsedebi (Assistant General Secretary), Mary-Judith Ezeigbo (Financial Secretary), Okoroafor Chibuzor (Treasurer), Greatness Abraham (PRO), Oludele John (Sports Secretary), Oreoluwa Bolaji (Special Duties Officer – Clinicals) and Moses Dabor (Special Duties Officer – Preclinicals).

UIMSAites now look forward to their plans and policies taking shape in the months ahead.

Sunday Precious Nnamdi

Nnamdi Sunday is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Ibadan and a campus journalist with a strong focus on news reporting, health and creative writing. He currently serves as the News Editor and Deputy Editor-in-Chief (Clinicals) at UIMSA Press, having previously held the role of News Editor. He is the recipient of the UIMSA Press Pressman of the Year award for the 2024/2025 session and was nominated for Best News Reporter at the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan awards for the same session. Outside of medicine and writing, he is passionate about choral music, and can often be found singing, attending events, networking, and exploring new experiences.
