FUOYE SUG Speaks Out on UI Students Suspension as UI’SU Remains Silent

The Students’ Union Government of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE SUG) has condemned the suspension of three University of Ibadan students — Olamide Gbadegeshin, Aduwo Ayodele, and Nice Linus — over their protest against a fee hike.
The statement was released by the Federal University Oye-Ekiti Students’ Union Government (FUOYE SUG) on Thursday, July 18, 2025. FUOYE SUG described the action as “unjust” and expressed full solidarity with the “UI3”, demanding their reinstatement and a reversal of the fee hike.
As of the time of this release, it’s been approximately 120 hours since the suspension and the University of Ibadan Students’ Union (UISU) has yet to issue any official statement regarding it.
