UIMSA Press Features Editor Emerges First Runner-Up in JCI Nigeria Rise Q1 Oratory Competition

Moboluwarin Ogunleye, the Features Editor of the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association (UIMSA) Press, has emerged as the first runner-up in the prestigious JCI Nigeria Rise Q1 Oratory Competition.

The competition, organized by JCI Nigeria, was held online in two stages: a preliminary round on February 23 and the finals on February 27. With 27 participants vying for the top position, Moboluwarin demonstrated outstanding oratory skills, securing the second-place finish behind Adekunle Ayomide, who claimed the first-place prize of ₦50,000. As the first runner-up, Moboluwarin received a ₦30,000 cash prize, while the third-place winner was awarded ₦20,000.

Speaking after the competition, the winner, Adekunle Ayomide expressed gratitude to JCI Nigeria for providing a platform for young speakers to showcase their potential. He also commended his fellow contestants for delivering intellectually stimulating speeches throughout the event.
