UIMSA Organises MBIII Talk For 2K21 Class

On Saturday, the 18th of May, 2024, the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association, organised an MBIII Exam Talk for the current 500-level Class (2k21) in a hybrid session online and at the Famewo Common Room, Alexander Brown Hall. 

The event, which was organised via the Office of the Special Duties Officer (Clinicals), was themed; “Crossing the Penultimate Bridge”, and aimed to provide helpful tips and strategies for the class in preparation for their upcoming third professional exams scheduled to begin on June 10th. 

It was divided into three sessions. The first two held at the Common Room while the third took place online, via Google Meet. Dr Gbolahan Obajimi, a Lecturer and Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist handled the first session, enlightening the candidates on how to ace their Obstetrics and Gynaecology exams. His session was followed by Dr Babatunde Ogunbosi, a Senior Lecturer of the Paediatric Department and Consultant Paediatrician, who spoke at length about practical ways to prepare for and ace Paediatrics. He emphasized the importance of prayers in preparation for the examination. For the last session, Dr Owoeye Iseoluwa of the 2K18 class, talked about the outlines for the exam and mentioned important preparation resources that could enhance preparation for the exam.

The talk concluded around 9 PM, following an extensive Q&A Session, Speaking about the event, the SDO Clinicals, Olayiwola Theophilus, had this to say, “I believe the talk was a success and it was impactful”.
