The UIMSA Preclinical Quiz Team clinched the runner-up position at the keenly contested third edition of the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association Emerging Leaders Forum (NiMSA ELF) ‘Stuff Banter’ National Quiz Finale, which was held on Saturday, 16th November 2024.
The representatives of UIMSA; including Okoroafor Chibuzor of the 300 Level Class, Testimony Ganiyu of the 200 Level Class, and Titilayo Oluwasebimotife of the 100 Level Class, amassed 41239 points, while the 1st place and the 3rd place; Port Harcourt University Medical Students’ Association (PUMSA) and Ebonyi State University Medical Students’ Association (EBSUMSA) amassed 45327 and 38140 respectively in the contest, conducted via the Kahoot Quiz platform.
Speaking with UIMSA Press, the Chibuzor said; “We had a good run of performance. However it was not the result we expected, we hope it could have been a better one. I want to specially thank Fikayomi, Okoye Portian and The UIMSA President, Inioluwa for their support all through the duration of the competition”.
This win marks UIMSA’s third podium finish in three editions of the contest. The first was in 2022, when she came third, behind the Ambrose Alli University Medical Students’ Association (AAUMSA) and Obafemi Awolowo University Medical Students’ Association (IFUMSA), who were 1st and 2nd, respectively.
