Survival Cup Semi Finals Round-Up

The two semi-final matches of the Survival Cup were played on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The first match was between Psychology/Sociology and Medicine & Surgery, followed by the second between Public Stats and Mathematics/Science & Technology Education.

After a goalless first half, Psychology/Sociology broke the deadlock when Ayobami found the back of the net to give them the lead. The MBBS squad intensified their pressure in a desperate bid to equalise. However, their momentum was short-lived; just three minutes later, the opponents doubled the advantage with a brilliant solo run and finish, putting Psychology/Sociology firmly in control.

The contest remained fierce as Psychology/Sociology pushed for a third goal while the medical boys fought to maintain defensive stability and mount a comeback. MBBS eventually managed to pull one back late in the second half, creating a tense finale. Despite their efforts, the scoreline held at 2-1 until the final whistle, confirming Psychology/Sociology’s place in the Survival Cup Final.

Mathematics/STE and Public Stats took to the pitch afterwards, and with a first-half goal, Mathematics/STE held on and was able to qualify.

Mathematics/STE will face Psychology/Sociology to battle for gold in the Survival Cup final.
