Following an announcement on changes to the result of yesterday’s Lanre Bello Inter-Faculty Debate, Clinical Sciences has now emerged as Second Runner-Up and Winners of the Oratory Contest.
This was revealed in a release sent out in the late hours of yesterday evening, made by the Directors, Lanre Bello Inter-Faculty Debate, JCI UI. The accompanying message read, “Earlier today, we organized the 13th edition of the Lanre Bello Inter-Faculty Debate Competition. Unfortunately, there were some mistakes and discrepancies in the results we announced earlier.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this oversight might’ve caused. Attached here is the accurate result of the competition, after a careful recalculation”.
With this re-calculation, the standings for the Debate are: 1st – Dentistry (75%), 2nd – Law (73%), and 3rd – Clinical Sciences (69.3%). For the Oratory category, Clinical Sciences takes the crown (66.7%), with Science (64.7%), and Education (62.7%), coming 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
For the Overall standings, Dentistry retain the top spot (68.5%), with Clinical Sciences (68%) and Science (66.5%), swapping places.
Note that this is the second in a series of changes, as the Faculty of Science was initially announced the Overall Winner, at the venue, before a review.
