Tech Nexus, hosted by the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Club (IPTLC) UI, was held on February 22, 2025, at the KAAF Auditorium, Department of Human Nutrition, University of Ibadan.
The keynote address for the event was given by David Adeleke, co-founder of Zeeh Africa. Following his citation, a panel session was convened. The panellists present were Fehintola Dahunsi, a senior software developer at Test Andela, Bukunmi Kolawole, an Intellectual Property (IP) lawyer, and Wuraola Akinlade, an ambassador for Google Women Techmakers. Frank Lenz, a virtual photographer was expected to be one of the panelists, but couldn’t make it due to unavoidable reasons. The session involved a discussion section, as well as a Q&A section.
After the panel session, a breakout session was held, where the audience was split into two classes based on interest: Tech and Art. Adegboye Josiah, co-founder of SMARGG taught the Tech class, while Olivia Umeh, an award-winning content creator took charge of the Art class.
The event rounded off with the presentation of awards of recognition and awards of service to standout members of the IPTLC, UI club and the executives for the tenure.
