The Faculty of Clinical Sciences will face the Faculty of Arts in the next round of Jaw War 2026 after progressing as the Best Loser in Thursday’s Inter-Faculty opening round. Clinical Sciences scored 81.25% against Education’s 85.58%, with Education taking the win.
The round featured 18 faculties in nine clashes. Arts defeated Nursing 81.70%–78.55%, Law overcame Science 71.95%–68.10%, while Social Sciences defeated Dentistry 78.88%–74.80%. Economics also beat Public Health 78.75%–69.80%, with Basic Medical Sciences and Pharmacy defeating Renewable Natural Resources and Environmental Design and Management respectively.
Meanwhile, Tuesday’s Inter-Hall first leg saw Obafemi Awolowo Hall defeat Kenneth Mellanby 76.15%–66.30%, while Alexander Brown Hall (ABH) secured a narrow 79.65%–76.30% win over Sultan Bello Hall. Ransom Kuti also defeated Nnamdi Azikwe 79.30%–76.15%, while Independence Hall beat Queen Idia 83.15%–74% and Lord Tedder defeated Queen Elizabeth II 81.15%–72.125%.
The Thursday debate also saw Ojo Esther, first speaker for the Faculty of Education, named Best Speaker. She received a plaque and a 50% tuition-fee scholarship courtesy of SBJ Foods & Drinks.
With the inter-hall return legs ahead, attention now turns to whether Sultan Bello can overturn ABH’s first-leg advantage and whether the other halls can similarly recover in the race for progression.
