The University Management, via a memorandum from the Office of the Registrar, has announced a three-week break for students, with effect from 2 PM, Saturday, 31st August, 2024 till Friday, 20th September, 2024, with exams now re-scheduled to begin on Monday, 23rd September, 2024.
The announcement is coming in the wake of the meeting between the Management and student leaders, a response to the protest held between 10 PM on Thusrday, 29th August, and 2 AM on Friday, 30th August, 2024, which concluded in a Congress.
The announcement states that “The three weeks is to give students ample time to complete online registration” with “the portal for registration to be closed on Friday, 20th September, 2024”. Also, “There will be no re-opening of the portal for fee repayment or course registration after 20th September, 2024 and students who do not register appropriately will not be allowed to write examinations”.
Recall that this resolution was rejected by students at the Congress held at the Kunle Adepeju Building foyer yesterday evening.
