Power supply has been restored to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, following 103 Days of blackout, and in line with the Minister of Power’s promise to reconnect the Hospital within 48 hours.
However, as of Press time, there is still no power at the Alexander Brown Hall and Ayodele Falase Post-Graduate Hall. This is even as the School of Nursing Hostel and other clinical areas appear to have also been reconnected to the main grid.
Recall that the UI’ SU had released a statement yesterday concerning this supposed action of excluding the Halls of Residence. It remains to be seen if ABH and Falase will be reconnected today, failure of which would result in a resumption of physical demonstration at the Hospital tomorrow, as announced earlier.
